After years of successfully putting on youth sporting events in California and throughout the western United States, youth sports organization Hard Count Athletics (HCA), in conjunction with fellow tournament sponsor and nationwide moving and storage company (and official moving company of the Miami Dolphins) All My Sons Moving and Storage, is sponsoring its first major East Coast youth flag football tournament event in Miami on June 16th. The Miami tournament, which is part of the inaugural Best of the East Meets Best of the West Tournament with its championship finale in Dallas, Texas, on July 13th and 14th, is part of HCA's first big push into the East Coast.
The tournament will continue HCA’s recent successful tradition of gradually expanding its youth flag football tournaments to an increasing geographic footprint to give youth across the United States the chance to hone their skills against some of the best competition from around the country. The Miami tournament will be no exception to this trend of increasing excellence in the events sponsored and presented by Hard Count Athletics, with a five-on-five format for teams in the six and under, eight and under, ten and under, 12 and under, and 14 and under age-group divisions. This tournament will be the fourth of the four qualifying sites for the Best of the East Meets Best of the West tournament series, with the winning teams from each site earning an automatic bid for the chance to meet in Dallas on July 13th and 14th in a national championship tournament that will be played at the home of the NFL's Dallas Cowboys.
HCA, which was founded in January 2014 by a pair of youth sports enthusiasts, began its tradition of athletic excellence with the Best of the West tournaments in Las Vegas in 2015, 2016 and 2017. After three years of hosting these successful event, this year HCA expanded Best of the West into a coast-to-coast experience for youth flag football teams throughout the country by creating the inaugural Best of the East meets Best of the West tournament series. This is truly a nationwide event, with 2018 Best of the West youth flag football tournament sites previously held in Los Angeles and Las Vegas on February 17th and 18th and April 28th and 29th, respectively. A third Best of the West tournament site will be held in San Diego on June 16th and 17th. Along with the winners from the upcoming Miami event, the winners of each tournament site will earn an automatic bid into the Best of the West Meets the Best of the West finals being played a 12,000-seat stadium at the home of the Dallas Cowboys on July 13th and 14th to determine who the best youth flag football team in the nation in each age -group division truly is.
In the first major East Coast youth flag football tournament sponsored by HCA, on June 16th at the Baptist Health Training Facility at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida, HCA and All My Sons Moving and Storage will be presenting a tournament open to any interested youth flag football teams in the following age groups: six and under, eight and under, ten and under, 12 and under and 14 and under. The games, which are being played at the official training facility used by the NFL’s Miami Dolphins, will feature a five-on-five format and are expected to draw teams from across Florida and the country. Registration for the Miami tournament closes on June 13th, so interested teams still can register until then and can find more information here. HCA runs the NFL Flag San Diego and Silicon Valley affiliates, and teams from other NFL Flag Football affiliates like the North Miami League, the Coconut Creek League, and the Weston/Davie League, are particularly encouraged to participate in the Miami event.
