This coming weekend, Hard Count Athletics (HCA), the country’s leading youth flag football organization, will host the final qualifying tournament in its 2019 nationwide youth flag football tournament series on Friday, June 14th and Saturday, June 15th followed by the 2019 HCA youth flag football 5v5 national championship on Sunday, June 16th.
The San Diego qualifying tournament on Friday and Saturday will be the final qualifier in the 2019 tournament series that included six sites throughout the nation. The entire nationwide tournament series will culminate on June 16th in the HCA 5v5 National Championship, bringing tournaments winners together from New Orleans, Hawaii, the Bay Area, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and finally San Diego to determine the best youth flag football team in each age group from across the country. The national championship tournament at Southwestern College will enable each team to give it their best to determine which team is left standing at the end of the day as the best youth flag football in its age group in the nation.
The final qualifying tournament of HCA’s 2019 tournament series will be held this coming Friday and Saturday at Southwestern College in Chula Vista on June 14th and 15th. For the 5v5 division, the tournament will offer play in the following age groups: 6u, 7u, 8u, 9u, 10u, 11u, 12u, 13u and 14u. Like all the other HCA tournaments, the winners of all 5v5 age group divisions also will get a complimentary entry into our national championship in San Diego the next day on June 16th. The tournament will feature a four-game guarantee. On Friday, June 14th, every participating team will compete in a three-game round robin format to be followed by a single elimination playoff bracket on Saturday, June 15th. A team’s record during the round robin play on Friday will determine its seeding for the single elimination bracket on Saturday.
The San Diego tournament also will also feature a one-day 7v7 format tournament for 9u, 10u, 11u, 12u, 13u, 14u and 15u age groups on June 15th. Registration for the 7 on 7 tournament is still available and is open until June 13th.
The winners from each of the six qualifying tournaments from around the country will come together at Southwestern College this Sunday, on June 16th in the HCA national 5v5 youth flag football championships. Instead of requiring each winning team to pay for a bid in the national championship, HCA is picking up the tab for each team to encourage each of our winners from our tournaments across the country to come together. The result will determine which of the winning teams from our six locations will be crowned the national youth flag football champion in each of our individual age groups. This nationwide tournament series featured stops in some new locations for HCA, like Hawaii, and also featured stops in other areas where our organization has previously hosted successful tournaments before, like Los Angeles, Las Vegas, the Bay Area and San Diego. The 2019 HCA nationwide youth flag football tournament series is just the latest in our organization’s offerings for youth flag football teams nationwide, and we are excited to have had the ability to expand into new geographical locations and introduce the HCA name to new parts of the country.
